Armenia Painting defers from both China Painting and Traditional Ceramics (including Majolica). We apply new ceramics discipline to build additional 3-5 new layers at high temperature firing and use special ceramic paints to create o'fort surfaces.
Furthermore, Armenia Painting has overcome problems with size and thickness that pose major limitation to other methods. Tiles of 40x30 sm and potentially larger and thinner (about 0.5 sm) are used, compared to, at most, 20x20 sm thick (at least 1 sm) tiles used in both traditional ceramics and china painting. We were also able to overcome the problem of cracks that otherwise form on glazed surfaces when firing is done using either traditional or china painting methods.
Armenia Painting has concurred ceramic colors and tones that are extremely difficult or not possible to achieve by other methods. High transparency and richness of colors and tones are what distinguishes Armenia Painting.
